TMVCC MINUTES MAY 21, 2008 CLARKE CALIBRATION RODEO The annual spring Calibration Rodeo was held on Wednesday, May 21 in James City County at the Warhill Sports Complex. We had 35 in attendance representing Portsmouth, Newport News, Norfolk, Hampton, Suffolk, James City County, Poquoson, Langley AFB, and Chesapeake. The day was perfect with the sun shinning bright. Jeff Hottenstein did an excellent job and everyone in attendance was calibrated and ready to roll for the mosquito season. A catered lunch of BBQ with all the sides followed in a picnic style lunch. A huge thank-you goes out to Jeff for his time and effort. Announcements: Upcoming opportunities may include a Larvae ID course for this area. Charles Abadam responded that the course is excellent. TMVCC officers will inquire about holding a larvae id course in the Hampton Roads area. Our next meeting is scheduled for June 11 in Portsmouth at the city park. The meeting will be sponsored by Charlie Pate and Ted Bean. A more detailed reminder e-mail will go out prior to the June meeting.
