Those present were President Jennifer Armistead, President Elect Lane Carr, Vice President Brain Prendergast, First Vice President Charles Abadam, TMVCC President Mike Harrison, George Harrison, Secretary/Treasurer JoAnn Beasley, and Past President Randy Buchanan. Meeting was called to order at 10:20 by Jennifer Armistead. Motion was made Randy Buchanan and seconded by Brian Prendergast to accept the minutes dated January 23, 2008. None opposed. Motion was made by Charles Abadam and seconded by Randy Buchanan to accept the financial report for the period January 18 - March 20, 2008. None opposed. UNFINISHED BUSINESS An Ad hoc committee chaired by Randy Buchanan was established to research the feasibility of a scholarship fund not to exceed $500.00. Motion was made by Randy Buchanan and seconded by Brain Prendergast to terminate consideration of a one day conference. None opposed. Lane Carr will send out reminders to past members to renew their membership. NEW BUSINESS Caleb Stitley will handle correspondence related to Mosquito Awareness Week Ad hoc committee existing of Charles Abadam and Andrew Lima was established to create a design for tee shirts, golf shirt and sweatshirts for 2009. ID course will be held May 28th and 29th in Suffolk. Lane Carr will send out an e-mail to sustaining members requesting sponsorship for meals, tee shirts, supplies and lodging. Recommendation was made by George Wojick to put the board meeting minutes on the website. Motion was made by Lane Carr and seconded by Randy Buchanan. None opposed. Ad hoc committee consisting of George Wojick, Randy Buchanan, JoAnn Beasley and Lane Carr was established to review and make recommendations for By-Law changes. Discussion was held on new MAMCA representative. Four letters of interest were received by the board. Kirby Foley was elected by unanimous vote. Discussion was held on the 2009 VMCA meeting. Meeting is scheduled to February 4, 5 and 6, 2009 at the Crowne Plaza in Williamsburg. MAMCA meeting hosted by Virginia will be held February 25 Ц 27, 2009 in Virginia Beach. Motion was made by Brain Prendergast and seconded by Lane Carr to purchase a laptop computer not to exceed $1,000.00. Vote was taken with none opposed. Motion was made by Lane Carr and seconded by Brain Prendergast to reimburse Honorary members JoAnn Beasley and Tom Gallagher for their 2008 membership dues. None opposed. There being no further business motion was made by JoAnn Beasley and seconded by Charles Abadam to adjourn. None opposed.
