Requirements:
Organizational members will have the first option to send an attendee.
Individual attendees should have mosquito surveillance and/or identification in their job description and duties. Prior experience with microscope and background in biology preferred.
**Application and payment must be received by May 16, 2008**
Course Fee: $70.00 - Virginia Mosquito Control Association members
$75.00 - Non-members. (VMCA associate membership included)
Course fee includes all training materials

Schedule Thursday, May 29th
Fridays activities involve some field studies. Please dress appropriately; wear rugged clothing and shoes that are water resistant or that you dont mind getting dirty. Bring rain gear just in case. If you have a shoulder bag that can be used for fieldwork, it will make your larval surveillance exercise easier. Bring a canteen, or other source of drinking water

Course Location
The Mosquito ID Class will be held at the Tidewater Agricultural Research and Extension Center (TAREC) near Holland, VA. The TAREC facility is 8 miles west of the city of Suffolk on Rt. 58 [on the south side of road just east of Holland) (See Map below). The class will be held in the TAREC facilitys auditorium. Ample parking space is available in the lot just in front of the building.
